About the GOEIC Certification Programme
The General Organisation for Export and Import Control (GOEIC) of Egypt regulates an extensive number of products imported into the country.
The organisation initially launched as a registry for leather and textile goods exported to Egypt. However, in 2016 the Egyptian Ministry of Trade & Industry introduced certification requirements as part of customs clearance for the registered products while at the same time extensively expanding the list of regulated products.
At this time, the Egyptian government mandated that to continue exporting to Egypt, factories, manufacturers and trademark owners of regulated products had to register with GOEIC.
Cotecna has been a GOEIC accredited partner since 2012. As such, Cotecna is authorised to issue Certificates of Conformity for GOEIC compliant products.

Egypt GOEIC Update: Solar Panels Now Regulated
Effective 17 August 2026, photovoltaic solar cell systems and related solar energy products have been added to the Egypt GOEIC Verification of Conformity Programme. Exporters may now require a Certificate of Conformity before shipment to Egypt.
