Your guide to GOEIC Conformity Assessment Process

In order to obtain the Certificate of Conformity (COC) when exporting your regulated products to Egypt, there are 3 methods of Conformity Assessment stated by General Organization of Exports and Import Control (GOEIC)…

The 3 Methods of conformity assessment

The choice of the methods/route depends on the profile of the exporter, the nature of their product(s) and also the requirement of the respective VOC programs. As such, it is important that CC perform the necessary Risk Assessment (see clause 4) in order to determine the most applicable route for their client.

After performing their Risk Assessment and/or after consultation with their client, CC will need decide on one of the following methods of assessment (A, B, or C) in accordance to the TIC CBCA Code of Practice, to assess the conformity of the product.

As a general rule of thumb, the product shipped must have undergone Testing, or Physical Inspection or a combination of both as prescribed in one of the following VOC methods/routes below. In additional, where applicable a factory inspection/Audit may be required.
