About the NFSA Certification Programme
The National Food Safety Authority NFSA food conformity assessment programme launched in 2020 with the aim of protecting the health and safety of Egyptian consumers by enforcing minimum requirement standards for food exported to Egypt. NFSA regulates food safety and ensures the hygiene of imported food and beverages.
Food exporters to Egypt are encouraged to comply with the country’s NFSA Programme. NFSA complaint importers can benefit from faster customs clearance as well as fewer interventions. Cotecna is authorised by the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) to issue Certificates of Inspection (CoI) for regulated food and food contact products exported to Egypt.
